Recent golf course project in Lorton, Virginia

For the past couple of years, I have supplied Pohick Bay Regional Golf Course with fill dirt to build berms along #8 and #18 fairways. I trucked in the material and graded it, dressed it down and added their leaf mulch to the finished product. These berms separate the beautiful fairways from the less desirable areas of the surrounding land.

Old frog pond

The current dumpsite I'm working on had an old frog pond that had growm over and was a very unusable space. The owner's horses would not go in there and it was definitely an eyesore. I took the surrounding trees, bushes, etc. and buried them in the middle ..........

.....and covered it with onsite dirt. By grading this out it makes for a very usable pasture and enhances the property.

........and gives a much better view from the entrance driveway and the house of Bull Run Mountain in the distance.

I do excavating & grading also..........

This is a job I recently finished in Gainesville. The owner wanted a 150' x 300' polo rink. She did not want to truck in any dirt, so we moved quite a bit around to make it work. Ready for the horses after she puts stone dust down.

For those of you that don't exactly know what a 10 cubic yard dump truck looks like........here is a picture. They do require a substantial area to maneuver. When they are loaded, they weigh in excess of 60,000 lbs or 30 tons.

What I do.........

Here is the basics of the "dirt" business and how I can help you.

A load of "dirt" comes in a variety of sizes, shapes, and most important, quality. A typical load of dirt (shown here) is 10 cubic yards.

I deal in 1 load to 200 loads per day depending on the job requirement. I "specialize in all your dirt needs".....not just for area contractors, excavators, homebuilders & trucking companies, but for homeowners also.

If you would like more information on availability of dirt, dumpsite locations or just talk about plain old "dirt" please post here and we can get started. Thanks..............Larry
