Opal clearing job

I cleared a site in Opal last week, that had about an acre of stumps, trees, brush, etc and an old barn foundation. Pushed it all up in piles and burned it, then graded it out. This gives the owner more usable pasture.

Barn Pad - Gainesville

The owner where I have been constructing the large polo rink, wanted another area graded out for a large barn / indoor arena. I demolished the old barn foundation, stripped the sod and debris and cut out and filled a 75' x 150' area. These are the before and after photos.

Barcroft Bible Church

Completed a small job at the Barcroft Bible Church in Fairfax last week. It required trucking in 100+ loads of fill dirt and grading it out for a soccer field. Once graded, the church members laid sod down for the finished product. They hope to play their first soccer game in early October.

I did a small job in Dale City this week that involved filling in a ravine littered with brush. I put approx. 25 loads in this small hole and graded it so that the homeowner has more usable space and less of an eyesore.

Residential work....

BEFORE

This customer in Brentsville, VA, wanted the trees taken out of this deep ravine and filled in with dirt so it would be usable as a pasture. I filled it in with almost 800 loads of fill dirt, dressed it off and he seeded and mulched. He added a nice fence later and has horses using it daily now.

Recent golf course project in Lorton, Virginia

For the past couple of years, I have supplied Pohick Bay Regional Golf Course with fill dirt to build berms along #8 and #18 fairways. I trucked in the material and graded it, dressed it down and added their leaf mulch to the finished product. These berms separate the beautiful fairways from the less desirable areas of the surrounding land.

Old frog pond

The current dumpsite I'm working on had an old frog pond that had growm over and was a very unusable space. The owner's horses would not go in there and it was definitely an eyesore. I took the surrounding trees, bushes, etc. and buried them in the middle ..........

For those of you that don't exactly know what a 10 cubic yard dump truck looks like........here is a picture. They do require a substantial area to maneuver. When they are loaded, they weigh in excess of 60,000 lbs or 30 tons.

What I do.........

Here is the basics of the "dirt" business and how I can help you.

A load of "dirt" comes in a variety of sizes, shapes, and most important, quality. A typical load of dirt (shown here) is 10 cubic yards.

I deal in 1 load to 200 loads per day depending on the job requirement. I "specialize in all your dirt needs".....not just for area contractors, excavators, homebuilders & trucking companies, but for homeowners also.

If you would like more information on availability of dirt, dumpsite locations or just talk about plain old "dirt" please post here and we can get started. Thanks..............Larry
